Centre for Vocational Excellence

ICERT’s Centre for Vocational Excellence conducts several Vocational and Skill-Development Programs for the career-seeking youth of Jharkhand, both on a day-scholar basis and on residential program basis. Occasionally, it partners with the Department of Welfare, Government of Jharkhand for imparting Vocational Training on certain skill-sets and functional vocational literacy. Courses like Secretarial Practices & Office Management, Computerized Financial Accountancy, Course in Insurance following the “Licentiate Syllabus” of Insurance Institute of India, Fashion Designing, Interior Designing & Aesthetics, etc. are offered to the employable/career-seeking youth. The Institute further contemplates launching of more rural-oriented skill development programs in Modular Carpentry, Landscaping & Corporate Gardening, etc.

Centre for Vocational Excellence also partners with the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), a unit of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, for conducting full-time programs in Entrepreneurship Development & Development of Vocational Skills with focus on one particular Skill. Programs have been organized on the following : “Networking & Switching Techniques”, “Business Development for IT Based Enterprises”; and “Commercial Food Preservation with Nutritional Values”. It also partners with Basant Dynamics for imparting courses to its beneficiaries on the coveted vocational IT Courses offered by DOEACC, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. It also conducts health-based vocational training in non-formal courses like Nursing Aide & Geriatric Care Training, Operation Theatre Assistant Training, Nutrition & Dietetics Training.
